I am excited to announce that John Lavery will be joining the SAINTS rugby program! John will be our new head coach of the U18 Men’s team and will be taking on the responsibilities as our Junior Boys Program Director.
Coach Lavery was an accomplished rugby player having played many years with Ste-Anne’s as well as representing Quebec. He holds a Level 3 coaching certification, which brings a depth of knowledge and experience of the game that few possess. Importantly he has a profound understanding of our unique community approach to the sport of rugby.
His current position as the Head Coach of the Concordia Stingers Men’s rugby team, the Head Coach & Head of Men’s programs at Rugby Quebec, an Academy Skills Coach at Rugby Canada, and his work with the National Senior Women’s Team as Scrum and Contact Skills Coach fits well with our club commitment to offer the maximum opportunity for advancement to our younger players.
He also lives closer to our home field than anyone else, so it is with great pleasure that we welcome John and offer our thanks to Val, Declan, Juno and Tadhg for sharing him with us!
