2023 SABRFC TOUR DE FRANCE ANNOUNCEMENT
Nothing brings a Club together like a tour, and this year SABRFC is travelling to France! We plan to attend the Men's Rugby World Cup and the Wheelchair Rugby World Cup. We also hope to represent our club well and play some games ourselves!
We couldn't celebrate our Club's 40th Anniversary in style due to the pandemic, so this is our year to celebrate!
Below is the tour announcement poster (thank you, Walsh) and a Tour de France poll we need you to complete. The tour is for players, alumni, supporters, and friends of the club - so please spread the word.
Dates will be chosen based on the feedback we get from you. Moe will follow up shortly afterwards with an estimated cost per person. Costs will vary dramatically depending on the number of tourists, so please fill in the feedback form asap.
Finally, Tours don't happen, or happen well, without a major Fundraising effort. Announcements for the major fundraisers supporting the tour effort are coming soon, but you can expect to contribute to or participate in the sale of commemorative 40th Anniversary custom-designed beer via Smokey and Fanelli, a club calendar, an auction, and tour merch. Funds raised will bring down the cost for everyone, so we need to get started asap! As we say with dues every year, if you want to come but fear you may not be able to afford it, reach out to Moe, Sommer, or Marty, and we will find a way to make it happen.
And yes, there will be a Tour Beret!
