Greetings all,
Everyone who has ever met, played with, laughed with and drank with John is invited to Ste Julie on the 15th of May to participate in a tribute day of rugby for John Jones.
On May 15th, the Locks and the Irish rugby clubs will be doing a day of celebration for our friend John Jones. The day is a way to say thank you to John for all he has done for the sport of rugby in Quebec.
A combined St Lambert Locks and Montreal Irish will play the Ottawa Senators Old Boys prior to MIRFC playing the Bermuda Mariners.
There will be opportunity for all to participate on the field and of course off it in the party to follow. Pig roast, Music and Games. Please take the time to think of this event and take part as we are blessed that John is with us now!
The Locks rugby club old boys (35yrs +) along with the Irish rugby club alumni will be playing as a team vs the Ottawa Senators old boys team at the Irish rugby grounds on May 15th at 1200. Kick off is slated for this time but could be moved. Those attending will be advised.
After the game, we will have a pig roast at the grounds. The day will continue rugby wise with an exhibition match with the irish playing the Bermuda Mariners touring side. The Locks and the Irish will have some league games as well that day.
We will have music and dance and rugby sing songs all day and will let the night go where she wants to!
