After Rugby & Triple Header at ESG

Here is a look into the future for you younger rugby players out there.

Both men's teams won last week at Beaconsfield, in what was a well-organized event to celebrate that city's hundredth anniversary. The junior teams played in the morning and Lavery commented that just about every SABRFC player, junior, senior and mini got a game that day. Many thanks go to BRFC for being such wonderful hosts.

Few pictures were forwarded to this reporter so we cannot dwell on these games, however we do have a report about the home life of a former SABRFC great.

Brad Belvedere is known as one of "The Untouchables" an elite group of members who have given their all to the club over the years and thus can do no wrong. Others that have reached "untouchable" status would be Marge Thompson and Stuart Creagh, but I digress.

Brad is now a father of two children, but still gets out now and then, if only to take the meat off the BBQ. As was witnessed recently at the "Unemployment Lunch" hosted by Brad and his wonderful wife Jenny. We go to see not only Brad in action as his role as "Captain" of the Tunstall Ave RFC, but also the couple's new child, Vyla.

If the thought of children (impossible) and having a wife/husband (can be trying...) gets you down - watch this video and imagine yourself as this guy - laughing and crying your troubles away: DOUBLE RAINBOW IN MY FRONT YARD

Other news of note this week is the visit of the Ralph/Hoffman's from down under. Pictures to follow.

The three men's teams play at home this week, beginning at 12. The women are in Ormstown also at 12, just the firsts, and should join us later at ESG.

Sunday we host six junior clubs from across the province. Help is needed, please check the discussion page for details.
