The July 10-11 weekend saw SABRFC Alum (and sometimes current players) and friends Mei Philipps, Mark Sibthorpe and Rob Pierce took to the streets in their spandex and their speed bikes riding from Montreal to Quebec City to raise money on the Ride To Conquer Cancer.
Together they raised an impressive $12,000.00 out of a total $6.7 million. The ride saw 1837 participants traveling up to 150km/day over two days at speeds averaging 35km/hr.
Our musketeers dealt only with two punctures, and claim to have "rocked the ride" on both days.
We are super proud of them and encourage all to share their own great stories about donating and fundraising for causes near and dear to your hearts outside of rugby.
